“It’s really impressive seeing the fissure. It looks so calm from the outside but when you look underwater it’s impressive sometimes kinda scary because it is so deep and clear and there are a lot of rocks. But the suit makes you float so it is impossible to sink. The guides were AMAZING!! Loved Anna she explained everything so well and were with us all the time same as Kevin. The process of dressing up is a little uncomfortable and the suit itself is heavy and makes it a little bit difficult to walk in. The first few minutes in the water are extremely cold. “Bus pickup was good, driver got out and called names to check. No issues and a nice guy, gave some local knowledge. Jampy was informative and reassuring. Gave plenty of help to those who needed it and was very chilled. All of the staff at Arctic Adventures were helpful. The overall experience was awesome, I wish I had brought a gopro, Jampy did have one and captured lots for us. equipment was in good condition and felt safe the whole time.”

But it is so clear and refreshing after putting on all the layers you need to protect you. Our guide was Elsa, and she was so great. Informative, funny, very helpful and made sure we were all safe. She learned our names so she could check on us individually and direct us where needed. I cannot recommend this enough.”

“Snorkeling at Silfra was an amazing experience! I was a bit apprehensive at first—I’m not a big fan of cold water and can get a little claustrophobic—but Quin made me feel completely safe and well taken care of. The whole team was fun, professional, and clearly knowledgeable. Even though it was cold, the dry suit kept us surprisingly comfortable. The clarity of the water was absolutely surreal, and the photos turned out incredible. I highly recommend snorkeling at Silfra—it’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!”

“Type 2 fun! The ride to and fro was timely and uneventful. Once we arrived, our guide was excellent and took good care of us for the duration of this experience. Bring warm thermals (and two pairs of wool socks!) and you will stay warm, except expect your hands and face to go numb (both are in contact with the glacial water). This January morning outing included a beautiful sunrise! It’s not a long swim, but it was enough for me. The water is crystal clear, the walls of the chasm is lined with volcanic rocks, with no flora or fauna. I’m glad I did it!”

“Great morning with our excellent guide, Wilmar. I was a bit concerned about wearing the dry suit but it was completely fine and Wilmar was great - making sure it was tight enough not to let in water but not so tight we were uncomfortable! Unfortunately the water was a bit cloudy in some parts due to the weather but apparently this only happens a couple of times a year so we just got unlucky on this occasion. Still a fantastic experience and I’m assuming even better views on most other days! Thanks Wilmar”

“It was an amazing experience. Our guide Kaja was great and the snorkeling in the pristine clean and icy cold waters of Silfra was unforgettable. It was not just the snorkelling itself it was the whole experience of being able to whitstand the elements. We were really lucky to pick a very nice December day that was not too cold and had no wind either. Having the experience with ice cold water swimming before I knew the feeling of extreme happiness aferwards. It just makes you laugh.”
