After this we had another drive in a different modified vehicle to drive up the glacier. We were all gathered around and shown how to use the snowmobile and quickly started our rides. Once at the top we were able to have a break and play in the snow then switch places with your passenger if wanted. “An unforgettable experience that was worth every penny. The tour is really no bargain but the experience on the glacier is phenomenal. We were also lucky with the weather and had bright sunshine, which made everything even more beautiful. The first thing you get is your snowsuit, storm cap, helmet and gloves. The snowsuits are very old and partially torn, but keep super warm when you are still wearing your normal winter mount underneath. Afterwards, you drive the typical off-road vehicles towards the glacier. Our driver (Alexandra) told us a lot about the area, the glacier and what to expect on the tour. “Bella esperienza, abbiamo perso tempo con la navetta a salire, ma una volta al campo molto attrezzati. Tuta artica sopra la nostra, casco e giro in motoslitta. Tutto bianco, non si capisce dove inizia il cielo. Eravamo in un gruppo di 10 in fila indiana, quando vedevo la motoslitta davanti a me sparire capivo che c’era una discesa. Ho tirato ai 70km/h poi ho mollato, la motoslitta spinge. Poi ho visto al campo gli equipaggi da due posti con quello dietro annoiato, mentre io ero carico di adrenalina, ed ho capito che ne valsa la pena spendere di più ma guidare entrambi.”
