Hike Sólheimajökull, see Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, and walk Reynisfjara on an 11-hour small-group trip from Reykjavik.

“Wow, what an experience! Everything about the day was great! We really lucked out with the weather as it was a super sunny clear day. Al was great and very knowledgeable about all things Glaciers and Waterfalls! He also very kindly pulled over on the way back to Reykjavik in the evening as the Northern Lights were out and incredibly vibrant which was more than we had ever bargained for! Would 10/10 recommend this experience to everyone I know and was definitely the highlight of our time in Iceland.”

Hike Sólheimajökull, see Iceland’s famous waterfalls and black-sand beach, and explore the South Coast in a small group from Reykjavik.

“My wife and I had the most incredible day! We were so lucky to have a dry, sunny, clear day and the scenery was stunning. Our tour guide, Michal, made the journey over to Sólheimajökull feel so short by telling us various stories and facts about the surrounding scenery. The glacier hike was a once in a lifetime, unique experience. Michal was so passionate and knowledgeable about Iceland, and a fantastic guide. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone!!”

The sights are incredible and he really helpfully, re-ordered the tour to get the best weather at each place. The glacier hike is awesome and he always made sure we were all safe and having fun. 100% recommend.”

Hike Sólheimajökull, walk behind Seljalandsfoss, visit Skógafoss and Reynisfjara on a full-day South Coast trip from Reykjavik.

“The guide provided was excellent, she showed consideration for everyone in our group and gave a great insight into how the Glacier was formed and how global warming is affecting its future existence. If and improvement is needed it would probably be beneficial if a warm changing area was provided along with a complimentary hot drink after th walk, but this is a minor issue, all in all a great experience.”

“This was one of the best activities that I booked for my Iceland trip! Francesco, was the absolute most amazing guide myself or the group could have possibly have asked for, he made sure all of us learned how to do everything and were safe before we did everything (the crampons and walking on the ice with them, climbing, rappelling, etc). We were able to do and see so much in the amount of time we had for this tour. If I come back and do this activity again, I would for sure try and request him!”

Review of Arctic Adventures’ 5-hour Falljökull glacier hike, with crampons, a certified guide, small groups, and practical booking advice.

“The glacier hike was a lot of fun! Our guide Lucy was great, she took the time to get to know the group and had a lot of great information about the glacier. The day lasted about 7.5 hours, and the hike itself was pretty easy if you are a regular hiker who is used to uneven terrain. Crampons were new to me but they were very easy to get the hang of.”

8.South Coast, Waterfalls & Glacier Hike Small-Group

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 322 reviews · 12 hours (approx.) · from $200

Review of Arctic Adventures’ Reykjavik South Coast tour, with waterfalls, Reynisfjara, and a beginner glacier hike. Tips, value, and practical details.

“Wonderful day spent in the south of Iceland. The falls and beaches were beautiful. The glacier walk was a great experience. However it is not a walk and should not be rated as easy. The walk required hiking boots you can rent them, as well as crampons, helmet, ice axe, and harness provided by the tour. The walk was 4 hours in duration which included round trip hiking to the glacial lagoon, strapping on the crampons, climbing up the face of the glacier, hiking on the top of the glacier and then back down again, the same path. The guide was a very energetic, enthusiatic, and quite capable young lady.…”
